We believe the church is a place to come as you are and experience the presence of God in a very real and powerful way. It is a place of acceptance, or worship, and of spiritual fulfillment. But it is only the starting place! We hear a special calling to make visible the unity of all Christians. In our diversity we belong to one another because we commonly belong to Christ.
Disciples congregations all over the world unite in the belief that we are called to reach out to others, to be one with Christ, and to find ways to show God's love through witness and service.
Mission Partner: Iglesias del Oeste
Missionaries Jim and Annie Culp of Iglesias del Oeste joined us for worship and shared a little bit about what they do.
Our outreach ministries support local, national, and global needs. We contribute to, sponsor, or assist with many organizations from our elementary school mentor program to providing life-sustaining benefits to Global Ministries. We also participate in an annual mission trip, which includes children, youth, and adults.
Iglesias del Oeste believes that God is going to transform communities, nations and the world through the work of His Church.
Just Jump Ministries, Inc.’s purpose is to encourage, equip, mobilize, and connect individuals and organizations to grow in missions efforts locally, nationally, and throughout the world following the model of Acts 1:8.
For one hour a week, our mentors talk and play games with a student from Washington Elementary.
Relationships are made by laughing, playing, and supporting a child. We’ve seen these students lives change from just one hour a week of support.

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations.
First Christian Church is proud to be a drop-off location for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes.
Ray of Hope Medical Missions sees the value in everyone. They want to be a catalyst for positive change, and since their beginnings in 2012, they’ve been driven by the same ideas we initially founded our Non-Profit Organization upon: Make a global impact by sharing Christ’s love facilitating life-changing surgeries for children of underdeveloped countries; reducing infant mortality by providing a modern birthplace; and providing mission opportunities both internationally and in the home.
Retrieving Freedom, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to training service dogs to help people. Their primary focuses are training dogs to serve the needs of Veterans and children with Autism.
Going beyond the limits of traditional foster care, children living at Show-Me Christian Youth Home receive therapeutic benefits from specialized programs in a Christ-centered, family environment.
We serve our community by contributing to Open Door, opening our doors for a warming shelter, preparing meals for Community Cafe, delivering meals with Meals on Wheels, and assisting our neighbors through Hands of Faith, among other things.
FCC is committed to pouring into our community.
We support the missions of Disciples Home Missions of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ); as well as the missions of the Mid-America Region of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
