Our Vision
Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations… Matthew 28:19-20
Our motto will be “GO”
We feel led by God to be strongly committed to these areas of ministry.
- Encourage and empower discipleship and spiritual growth
- Humbly and boldly serve in outreach and mission
- Embrace and prepare for congregational growth
Our Beliefs
We believe that ALL Christians are on a journey of faith. We are united by our belief that God has come to us in a special way in Jesus Christ. Other than this, we hold to no other formal set of doctrinal statements.
We honor each person’s spiritual quest and encourage all people to seriously seek out God in all things.
We respect traditions of the Christian faith and strive for Christian unity between all believers. As a sign of Christian unity, we share communion each week as part of our worship.
Our Denomination
We are a part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. We are one of three religious bodies that trace their origin to the Stone-Campbell Movement of the nineteenth century.
Kenneth Teegarden, a former general minister and president for Disciples, once offered a defining summary of the name:
“The generic first part, Christian Church, points to our objective of unity; the distinguishing second part, Disciples of Christ, reminds us that we have not arrived.”
Core Values
Spiritual Growth
We believe that the scriptures instruct us to grow toward Christlike maturity. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we strive to follow Jesus in all that we do. Each of us is expected and encouraged to make a personal commitment to bible study, prayer, worship and service to others in the name of Christ.
Community
We believe in Christian community.
Outreach
We believe Jesus calls us to serve our neighbors whether they are right next door or across the ends of the earth.
